The Crux AVIGM-04S provides an audio and video input to the factory display screen in select Chevrolet vehicles from 2012-2014 that are equipped with the factory radio system with a display screen. Once installed, the Crux AVIGM-04S will enable you to mirror your smartphone to the factory display screen. This allows you to use apps such as Google Maps, surf the internet, and watch Netflix, directly on the factory Chevrolet radio display screen.
Installing the Crux AVIGM-04S is very straight forward. The kit includes a plug & play harness which simply plugs into the back of your radios display screen. The VCIP5 cable is also included with this adapter which plugs into the A/V connections on the radio harness and then provides you with an HDMI input for you to connect your smartphone with.
Most smartphone will need a MHL HDMI adapter which converts the smartphones charging port into an HDMI ready plug which is how the data will be transferred through from your phone, into the AVIGM-04S and then into the factory display screen.
